In addition, Royal Selangor has also collaborated with international talents such as Erik Magnussen and Freeman Lau, who have designed new collections infused with their creative hallmarks. The continuous development of new designs in pewter, and in combination with other materials such as glass and wood, offer our customers an even wider choice to an already extensive selection of designs.

Our passion for pewter is seen in the many award-winning pieces produced. Among the awards received include the Design Plus award at the Frankfurt International Gift fair; the Gift of the Year Award from by the Giftware Association of the UK; the Red Dot Award for Product Design from Germany's Design Zentrum and the Japan G-mark for good design from the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organisation.

This introduction of refreshing ideas and innovative designs has not gone unnoticed, having received coverage in influential publications such as Wallpaper and Vogue Living Australia.

Royal Selangor has also been commissioned to design customised pewter items such as trophies for major international events as well as corporate gifts and special events merchandise. Apart from trophies for the Formula One Grand Prix races and the Shanghai ATP Masters 1000, Royal Selangor has produced official merchandise for Sydney 2000 Olympics and Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup.
